Why do I keep getting?

Why do I keep getting shot down left and right by girls? I'm decent looking, I have a decent car, I am in college and I plan on having a great career. I keep getting told I'm an amazing person but not dating material and I dont know what that means. I'm not shy, very outgoing, I dress nice, smell amazing(thanks dolce and gabbana for men). I am very respectful of women. I ask for girls numbers, get shot down. I get to know girls class, and I get shot down when I ask them to lunch. I am always getting shot down and I can't figure out why, so if you have any ideas please let me know.
