Is it possible to make a living off of writing?

Maybe if you are a good writer. I had this boss who had written and published 3 books and he still needed to work full time. But who knows, maybe you can, people do it all the time. If thats what you like to do and if you are any good at it then you should at least be able to make a nice paycheck from time to time. Dont give up your dayjob just yet though.
