Weight cutting proper way for wrestling?

I'm a senior this upcoming year in wrestling and I walk around at 123 and I there are 2 openings at 113 and 106 since they changed the weight classes this year. I was thinking about trying the Dolce Diet which is what MMA fighters use to cut their weight. I was wondering what could I use to get down in my weight? Any help would be appreciated.

Break in leather on Molten GE7?

I got this molten ge7 a year ago and I haven't played with it for a while, but its really slick and hard to grip on the outside and many people say that you have to break in the leather to get that good feel. Is this true with all ge7s or did I just get some crap one that was a waste of money?
